New College Credit Opportunities

UMO & iCEV Partnership

The University of Mount Olive (UMO) is partnering with iCEV to create a new college credit opportunity for students interested in conservation. As of January 2026, high school students can earn three hours of college credit by completing the Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management Certification course through UMO and passing the certification exam hosted on the iCEV Testing Platform. With high school approval, students may be eligible to earn both high school and college credit, and the credits may apply toward general education, science, or elective requirements.

Turn iCEV hosted Certifications into College Course Credit with North Carolina Community Colleges!

High School students can now earn course credit at North Carolina Community Colleges through industry certifications. Two industry certifications hosted on the iCEV Testing Platform are eligible to receive course credit, helping students advance their degrees while building career-ready skills.’

How will this work?
Students who earn the Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification will receive college credit for VET-114 Introduction to Veterinary Medical Technology. Additionally, students who earn the AMSA Food Safety & Science Certification will receive college credit for CUL-150 Food Science and CUL-150A Food Science Lab.

Use the North Carolina Legislature’s CTE Modernization and Expansion Grant for
