iCEV Announces New Certification Added to iCEV Testing Platform
The Benz School of Floral Design will host its Principles of Floral Design Certification on the iCEV testing platform.
LUBBOCK, Texas (April. 16, 2015) – iCEV, a leading producer of Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum resources, announces the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M will host its industry certification, Principles of Floral Design Certification, on the iCEV testing platform.
The Benz School of Floral Design Principles of Floral Design Certification is designed to verify students have acquired the knowledge and skills needed to begin a career in the floral industry. To earn the certification, students must demonstrate a mastery of the industry standards set by the Benz School of Floral Design, including the floral design history, flower identification, floral design basics, arrangement creation, and duplication and flower business management.
“This is a great opportunity for students to earn a unique floral design certification that aligns to a variety of interests and curriculum programs,” said Jeff Lansdell, president of iCEV. “By working with the Benz School of Floral Design, we continue to show our dedication to developing meaningful resources for students and educators in CTE programs across the country.”
“The principles and elements of design are the foundation and fundamental concepts of floral design and all art forms,” said Bill McKinley, Director of the Benz School of Floral Design. “Understanding these fundamental concepts can allow a student to grow in their appreciation of floral design and help them to quantify their personal aesthetics. The Benz School of Floral Design stresses the importance of principles and elements of design in all of its course curriculums, so this connection with iCEV is a logical extension of what we teach.”
The Benz School of Floral Design is the latest industry partner to host their certification on iCEV. In addition to the Principles of Floral Design Certification, iCEV hosts industry certifications from other leading groups.
