iCEV President to Speak at SIIA Education Business Forum
Dusty Moore to discuss transformation in Career and Technical Education at high-profile education industry event.
LUBBOCK, Texas (Dec. 3, 2014) – Dusty Moore, iCEV president, will speak at the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 2014 Education Business Forum in New York City next week. SIIA invited Moore to participate in a panel discussion about key transformations to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the United States.
“Because iCEV works closely with districts to develop and implement Career and Technical Education programs, Dusty is uniquely qualified to discuss the CTE resurgence seen across the country,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the Education Division at SIIA. “I’m confident Forum attendees will benefit from Dusty’s insights.”
Moore is scheduled to discuss the increased interest and success of CTE programs and how the shift in curriculum can be both an opportunity and challenge for school districts, educators and students. He will share his vision of where the CTE market is headed, as well as discuss his role in producing more than 100 CTE courses in the last decade. Moore helped create and expand the iCEV platform – an online delivery system for CTE curriculum and testing platform for industry certifications.
“Increasingly, districts are implementing Career and Technical Education programs into their curriculum,” Moore said. “How students learn and develop necessary skills for the global workforce is rapidly shifting, and we must be prepared to provide the necessary resources to help them succeed.”
For the past two decades, the Education Business Forum has served as a place for leading finance and business figures to meet and discuss the current landscape of the K-12 and postsecondary education technology markets. The Forum allows industry professionals to network and learn valuable knowledge about shifts in the market and digital learning space to understand how education customers are buying products.
