iCEV Tutorial
Sharing Clever or Classlink Content to Google Classroom
When utilizing Clever or Classlink to roster your students, a sync happens every night to make sure students are enrolled in the proper Clever or Classlink class. Sometimes, this can cause challenges when utilizing Google Classroom, especially if shared to the wrong Google Classroom.
For example, if you are teaching two periods of Principles of Health Science and you share a video from Principles of Health Science Section A to the Principles of Health Science Section B in Google Classroom, when Section B students log in to Google Classroom and click the assignment it will make them roster into the Principles of Health Science Section A class on iCEV. The nightly sync will then notice the student is in the wrong class in iCEV and put them back into the proper section.
What do we recommend?
- If sharing from iCEV to Google Classroom, make sure you are sharing to the proper sections
- Add students to a new course in iCEV as mentioned above. Share all items to Google Classroom out of that course as the nightly sync will not disrupt or remove students from the manually added class.
