With a belief that success looks different for every student, Craven County Schools is broadening the conversation around what's possible after graduation. With more than 20 career pathway programs, CTE gives every learner a meaningful path forward: one built around the industries that drive eastern North Carolina. 

Students graduate with credentials that employers recognize. CTE concentrators can earn industry-recognized certifications in fields like automotive, firefighting, nursing, coding, and public safety before graduation, along with a Career Endorsement on their North Carolina diploma. Through Career and College Promise, eligible juniors and seniors can take tuition-free college courses at Craven, Carteret, or Lenoir Community College, earning job credentials and college credits while still in high school. 

And now, through CRAVE (Career Readiness and Ventures and Employment), Craven County Schools is taking the next step. By partnering with local business and industry leaders to provide paid high school internships, students are getting a head start on their careers. Backed by partnerships with Craven Community College and local industry leaders, Craven County Schools is proving that for students in eastern North Carolina, the best opportunity is right at home.
