iCEV Announces New Scholarships to Recognize Outstanding Career & Technical Education (CTE) Students Nationwide
In celebration of its 40th year of service, iCEV is celebrating the CTE community by partnering with career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) to support scholarship programs
iCEV, a leading producer of Career & Technical Education (CTE) curriculum, industry certification preparation and testing, and CTE data management, will be partnering with a number of leading career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) to award scholarships to outstanding CTE students nationwide. The sponsorship of these student scholarships comes as iCEV celebrates its 40th year of business serving the CTE community.
“The sponsorship of these scholarships is just one way we can support standout CTE students nationwide by helping to further their career goals as they enter a trade school or a college of their choosing,” said Dusty Moore, CEO of iCEV. “With the need for highly-skilled CTE students at an all-time high, we look forward to recognizing—and celebrating—the outstanding achievements of CTE students while giving back to the CTE community at large.”
As defined by the National Coordinating Council For Career and Technical Student Organizations (NCC-CTSO), CTSOs enhance student learning through contextual instruction, leadership and personal development, applied learning, and real world application.
CTSOs work as an integral component of the classroom curriculum and instruction, building upon employability and career skills and concepts through the application and engagement of students in hands-on demonstrations and real life and/or work experiences through a CTE program. CTSOs help guide students in developing a career path and a program of study and provide opportunities in gaining the skills and abilities needed to be successful in those careers through CTSO activities, programs, and competitive events. In addition, students in CTSOs have opportunities to hold leadership positions at the local, state, and national level and attend leadership development conferences to network with other students as well as business and industry partners.
“This will not be just a one-time gift to CTSOs,” said Moore. “Through our ongoing partnerships with these organizations, our goal is to increase the number of scholarships we award and, in turn, the number of deserving CTE students we are able to honor each year.”
