iCEV Releases Health Science Curriculum
The healthcare industry is expected to grow 19 percent by 2024, adding 2.3 million jobs, which is the most of any occupation field according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. As this industry continues to offer job opportunities for high school and college graduates, iCEV announces the release of a new Health Sciences curriculum that will help prepare students to enter a wide variety of careers in the healthcare and health sciences industries.
“The need for well-educated, passionate students in the healthcare industry has never been greater, as the general population continues to age,” said Ainsley Nelson, regional director for marketing and communications at Covenant Health. “By working with iCEV to create this new curriculum, students can start out well-versed in the healthcare industry and become leading candidates for employment.”
Delivered through iCEV’s online learning platform, the Health Sciences curriculum will offer courses in principles of health science, health science theory, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and much more. The content areas of the curriculum will focus on career pathways, background knowledge of the industry, basic and complex concepts of anatomy and physiology, and basic and complex concepts of human health.
“At iCEV, we are always looking for growing industries in order to provide students with relevant courses that lead to successful careers after graduation,” said Dusty Moore, iCEV president. “The healthcare industry is one that is blossoming across the country and we are ecstatic to be able to provide students with the curriculum to thrive in this field.”
Career and Technical Education instructors can use iCEV to provide students with a robust curriculum with industry resources and training materials that lead to concept mastery and industry certifications hosted on the iCEV testing platform. By working with students in high school and college, educators can help students stand out from others when applying for jobs with their industry-specific education.
