About the Course
In the Counseling & Mental Health course, students develop an understanding of the mental health field and the services available. Featuring experts in the field, students will explore the intradisciplinary care involved in mental health, the ethical and legal aspects of mental healthcare, the tools used in mental health services, and the basic knowledge needed to pursue a career in the field. Additionally, students will practice communication strategies and support techniques to support individuals in high-stress scenarios.
