About the Event

The Certification Prep Academy is a two-day event designed to explore the extensive impact industry certifications can have on student’s lives. This event is designed to equip teachers with strategies and best practices for incorporating industry certifications in their courses. At the end of the event, educators will sit for a certification exam of their choice.

Educators will be awarded professional development certificates and digital badges at the completion of the event. Please note, professional development credit will be up to the administrator’s approval.

Hotel Information

A room block has been reserved at the Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley. Please reserve your room through the hotel registration site or by calling 919-782-6868 by September 7th.

You will be asked for a credit card to reserve the room. However, upon attending the event, iCEV will be paying for your hotel room during the conference. Please note, you will need to put a card down to hold your room and for incidentals at the hotel.

Registration Fee


What is Included in the Registration Fee?

Three meals, the conference and your hotel will be included in your registration fee. Additionally, educators will have the opportunity to earn an industry certification by registering for the event. The registration fee does not include travel to the event location.

The Certification Prep Academy is a two-day, in-person conference, designed to prepare educators to incorporate industry certifications in their classrooms.

What will I learn?

At the event, you will learn best practices and strategies, how to engage and inspire students and how industry certifications can prepare your students for the workforce.

Will I earn CEU credits for attending this event?

Yes! iCEV is awarding one CEU credit (10 hours of professional development) for attending the event and one CEU credit for passing a certification exam. Please note, these credits will be up to your administrator's approval.

When and where is the event?

The Certification Prep Academy is being held in Raleigh, North Carolina. It will take place over two days, September 29th and 30th.

The Certification Prep Academy is designed for all CTE teachers, directors and administrators who are looking to learn more about implementing industry certifications in their programs.

How much is the registration fee?

The registration fee is $150. This will cover the cost of your hotel room, meals during the event and an industry certification exam.

Yes! The registration website will allow you to pay now or be invoiced for the amount.

Will I earn professional development credits for attending this event?

Yes, all attendees will receive a professional development certificate at the end of the event for the sessions attended and for earning an industry certification. Please note, these credits will be up to your administrator's approval.
