iCEV is an online platform for delivering Career and Technical Education curriculum. iCEV utilizes teacher licenses to access course content. Also, student licenses are available which allow students to log in to the system, view content, complete interactive activities, quizzes and assessments, as well as complete industry certification programs.
The following browsers have been tested and are compatible with iCEV:
IE9 or greater
Many other browsers are also compatible with iCEV, but have not been 100% tested. If you have a browser at your district that is not on this list you would like us to test, please alert firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since iCEV is an online platform, most operating systems are compatible. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 as well as upcoming releases of Windows are compatible. In addition, recent Mac OS, iOS, Chrome OS and Android versions are also compatible. If you are utilizing an operating system not listed, please alert email@example.com and we will test the system.
For optimal performance, we generally see 50k-150k per simultaneous user (while streaming video) as a good base measurement for bandwidth needed. If the students are not streaming and simply logging in for assessments and activities, this number decreases drastically.
iCEV uses several content delivery networks to deliver content. The following addresses need to be whitelisted in order for iCEV to function properly. If you need specific server IP addresses and port ranges or subdomain information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the exact list.
*.kaltura.com (video streaming)
Please note, if your district does not allow OneDrive to be whitelisted please inform email@example.com. There is an HTML5 version of the PowerPoints that can be accessed at files.icevonline.com.
*.jquery.com (video streaming)
