CTE Curriculum
Prepare learners with CTE curriculum aligned to industry standards.
Jackie Vester
CTE Supervisor
What are your key CTE responsibilities in your current job role?
As CTE supervisor, I work with career and technical teachers across Putnam County to provide high-quality programs of study for CTE students with a focus on college and career readiness.
Why do you feel CTE is important to the future of education?
Career and technical education provides students with both industry specific skills and transferrable soft skills. CTE also develops problem solving and project management skills. All students need to build these skills during their secondary education experience to give them options in their post-secondary journey.
What is the biggest benefit students can receive from enrolling in CTE programs/course?
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are one of the most valuable pieces of CTE. The opportunity to network with peers from across the state and country while applying knowledge and skills from the classroom is something students will carry with them long after graduation.
What are some of your hobbies?
When I am not watching my kids play sports, I enjoy reading, gardening, and all things Disney.
