Instructors can track individual and group progress in the classroom or remotely, and an offline mobile app lets learners complete coursework on a tablet without an internet connection.

Certificate Testing:

After completing the SimScholars® Curriculum, learners can take a proctored SimScholars® Small Dozer Certificate, Cat® Simulators, exam on the iCEV Testing Platform. Those who earn the certificate demonstrate they are proficient in operating the simulator.

Lesson Outline:

• Walkaround. Learn pre-operation machine inspection procedures.
• Control Familiarization. Learn and understand operator controls and dashboard symbols.
• Maneuvering. Learn to maneuver the machine around a worksite utilizing speed and brake control. Practice three-point turns and counterrotation.
• Backfilling. Learn to properly backfill a trench.
• Pad Building. Learn to grade material to build a pad.
• Stockpiling & Berm Building. Practice using the machine to push material into a stockpile, then maneuver to a different area and build a berm.
