Lesson Outline:

  • Walkaround. Learn pre-operation machine inspection procedures.
  • Control Familiarization. Learn and understand operator controls and dashboard symbols.
  • Maneuver Hoisted Object. Practice maneuvering the machine while lifting and carrying an object using the bucket.
  • Trenching & Pipe Installation. Perform trenching operations and pipe placement for underground utility installation.
  • Dig Footings. Practice excavation operations to dig building footings.
  • Clear Debris Pile. Use the excavator and thumb tool attachment to load debris into a truck.
  • Bench Loading. Learn to load a truck from a bench position in a tight space.
  • Machine Offloading & Onloading at Trailer. Learn to load and unload a machine from a trailer.

How the Course Works:
