What's New at iCEV: Courses, Certifications, and Engagement Features
Megan O'Quinn is the Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction at iCEV. With expertise in curriculum development, educational technology, and content creation, she crafts engaging learning experiences that empower individuals to succeed.
The 2026–27 school year will bring a meaningful set of updates to iCEV, expanding the CTE curriculum library, improving certification prep tools, and making the platform easier to navigate for educators and administrators alike. Whether you're building out a new program or refining one that's already running, here's a look at everything that's new.
New CTE Curriculum Across Every Pathway
On the content side, iCEV has added 17 new and updated courses spanning a wide range of CTE pathways. New additions include AI Literacy, Entrepreneurial Skills, Microcontrollers, Advanced Culinary Arts, Adobe Photoshop Skill Builders, and skills for allied health careers, all designed to reflect today's workforce needs.
Pre- and posttests are available across courses on the iCEV platform to provide educators with a clearer picture of where students begin, where to target instruction, and show growth at the course end. Lessons for the Modernized Career Clusters framework are also available on iCEV to show students opportunities available in the world of work.
Smarter Certification Readiness for Students
For certification prep, iCEV has introduced the Certification Readiness Indicator, a new tool that provides educators with a real-time snapshot of each student's progress before exam day. It tracks lesson progress, assessment performance, practice exam results, and assignment completion, then groups students by readiness level so teachers can focus support where it's needed most.
With 90+ certification alignments across 14 certifying agencies and 12 certifications now available in Spanish, iCEV continues to expand access to industry-recognized credentials.
Platform Updates Built for Educators
The iCEV platform has received a significant enhancement to its course selection page, making it easier than ever to find the courses you need. Whether you're searching for state standards-aligned curriculum or industry certification preparation content, the improved experience helps you quickly locate the right resources for your classroom.
It’s also now easier to connect iCEV with your existing systems (LMS, SIS) for a seamless experience, and Smart Notifications will keep educators informed when key events need their attention.
Lastly, Eduthings now features enhanced reporting tools alongside a cleaner navigation experience. The new iCEV Insights dashboard gives admins and teachers a unified view of license utilization, student progress, and program outcomes.
