Adding Courses

Most teachers utilizing iCEV will send you a course code with a set of instructions to follow to enroll when you are enrolling in a course you will be using in iCEV.

Step 1: Copy the course code which appears on the instructions or that has been given to you by your teacher.

Step 2: Visit login.icevonline.com/register.

Step 3: On the registration page, enter the registration code for the course in the “Registration Code” field. Complete the rest of the information on the form.

iCEV Tip: Make sure your username and password are something you can remember and write it down. If your teacher has specified a username/password for you, enter those credentials instead.

Step 4: Once you’ve completed the form, agree to the terms of use and click “Submit.”

Step 5: Next, you’ll be taken to your “My Courses” page. This page will list all of the courses you are enrolled in.

iCEV Tip: If you are enrolled in multiple iCEV courses you can use the same username and password for each course. Before adding additional courses, make sure you are logged in.

You will be able to add additional courses from your “My Courses” page by clicking on the “+ Add New Course/Certification” button. Enter the registration code for the new course and click “Submit.” Repeat to add additional courses if necessary.

Viewing Assigned Coursework

Step 1: From your “My Courses” page, click on the “View” button beside the course you want to access. A list of the lessons which have been assigned to you will appear.

Step 2: Click the “View Lesson” button beside each lesson you want to access.

iCEV Tip: Each iCEV lesson is either a PowerPoint® presentation, video, or a combination of the two.

Step 3: To view the lesson, click through the PowerPoint® slides, or click the play icon to begin viewing.

Step 4: Below the content viewing area are the Printable and Interactive headings. Beneath each heading is where you can locate the coursework which has been assigned to you.

iCEV Tip: If you only see one heading, either the Printable or Interactive heading, and not both, don’t worry. It just means your teacher has not assigned any of the options beneath one of the headings.

Printable & Interactive Coursework

Printable Coursework
Items listed beneath the "Printable" heading will be opened as pdf documents which contain instructions for completing the assignment.

Contact your teacher to find out how they would like you to submit printable coursework assigned to you on iCEV.

Interactive Coursework
Items listed beneath the "Interactive" heading will be opened within iCEV, can be completed online and will be automatically graded. All interactive items will be laid out in the same manner.

Step 1: When completing interactive assignments, you will select your answer and move to the next question using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: You also have the option to save your progress throughout the assignment.

Step 3: Once you have answered all of the questions, click “Finished.” When you are certain you are ready to submit your assignment, click “Yes” to verify. Once submitted, interactive activities and assessments will be graded for your teacher.

iCEV Tip: Your teacher may have additional instructions related to the number of times you are allowed to complete an interactive activity or assessment, so be sure to follow those instructions.

Also, depending on the settings your teacher has chosen, a summary may appear next to the items you have completed. If the summary appears, it will indicate which answers you got correct, as well as which answers were incorrect and the correct answer.

Step 4: To return to the page which lists all of the lessons for a course, click on the name of the course in the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.
